No special reason for taking this photo - just captured a moment that caught my eye. #bees #flowersofinstagram #naturephotography #nature_perfection #sundayvibes
A #throwbackthursday to Dec. 2019 visiting the famous canals of Xochimilco, (in southern Mexico City) the last remnants of the islands & canals created by the Aztecs in building Tenochtitlan. It’s also the flower growing center of #mexicocity. Colorful gondola-like boats take visitors on cruises while food & souvenir vendors and mariachi bands float past. @mexicocityofficial @visitmexico @xochimilco_cdmx #mexicantravel #mexicanheritage #staysafestayhome
Today in Mardi Gras 2021 (Fat Tuesday) & the culmination of the Mardi Gras season that began Jan 6. Of course in New Orleans there have been no public parades & celebrations 2020 or 2021 re: covid, but in 2015 I had the pleasure of experiencing the entire Mardi Gras season in #neworleans! Known for its grand floats, on Mardi Gras Day itself, besides the King’s Float, it’s “peoples parade day” with all getting involved from the outlandish to the outrageous - but that’s #mardigras #traveltuesday #fattuesday #stayhomestaysafe
Tonight’s #saturdaysunset in @visitpuertovallarta over the Bay of Bandares. #viewfrommywindow #bahiadebanderas #mexiconature #pacificocean #expatlife #stayhomestaysafe
The Crown of Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church in today’s early morning #sunlight. @visitpuertovallarta #streetphotography #mexicantravel #traveltuesday
Nature doesn’t need photo filters. In these 4 scenes over the Bay of Banderas the refracting #sunlight illuminates the sky each in a single spectrum of color. @visitpuertovallarta #mexicantravel #nature_perfection #bahiadebanderas #viewfrommywindow
Early #february #mondaymorning on my street in @visitpuertovallarta #Mexico. #winterflowers
The Wolf Moon - 1st full moon of the year - at night & setting at dawn this morning over the Bay of Bandares @visitpuertovallarta #viewfrommywindow #wolfmoon #january2021 #bahiadebanderas #fullmoon #moonset
A #newborn #silverchicken - do they lay #silvereggs ? #mexicanfarmanimals #exoticchickens
A busy day at the #chickencoup. #mexicanfarmanimals #chickens #exoticchickens #chicks #freerangechickens
We don’t often think of #goats being cute, but maybe these photos of Nube (cloud) from a day old to now almost 2 months will change your mind. #mexicangoats #animallover #farmanimals #cuteanimals
Today, January 11, is “National Step in a Puddle and Splash Your Friends Day.” My #grandson Harlan seems to have mastered the art. (video by my son, Damian).
When I’m feeling egotistical & self-righteous (especially given the never ending worldwide insanity since last February) I try - not always with success - to focus on this saying I saw scrawled on a wall in 2016.
In New Orleans January 6th is not just Three Kings Day but two more celebrations. It's the official – although not proven – date for the birthday of St. Joan of Arc (1412) – the Maid of Orleans & patron saint of New Orleans. It is also the official 1st day of Mardi Gras, which will go on until Fat Tuesday (day before Ash Wednesday). These photos were taken when I spent the entire Mardi Gras season of 2015 in NOLA. Note the King Cake shape of the birthday cake but iced only in gold – the color associated with St. Joan. #nola #3kingsday #joanofarc #mardigras
The moon’s good-by ends pictures.
I don’t know about a partridge in a pear tree, but I do know a bright red Northern Cardinal looks in a green Holly Tree. #christmasdecor #nature_perfection #birdcaptures
6:00 am Monday #moonset over the Bay of Banderas #viewfrommywindow @visitpuertovallarta #bahiadebanderas #nature_perfection #mondaymorning
I took this photo in #bangkok, #thailand during a #Christmas week some years ago. Although Southeast Asian colored #rice (natural and died) are not specific to holidays, they certainly fit into any. Besides natural rice variations, infusing white rice with natural teas can add vibrant color and endless recipe ideas. For a good basic #recipe (not my creation) click on this short yet complete @youtube #video https://youtu.be/0DbOrfGVSCE #naturalfoods #thaicuisine
Some memories of a #christmas at the historic (1913) Grove Park Inn, Asheville, NC. @omnihotels #christmasdecor #attheomni #blueridgemountains #artsandcrafts #archtecture
First nature decorated for the seasons. #seasonsgreetings to all my friends & family worldwide. #nature_perfection
